In the last month ESET have released a new version of all of their core product range.  Version 5 of NOD32 Antivirus is massively improved and feature rich.   NTES are an authorised reseller for the NOD32 suite of products in Ireland.   Existing customers running NOD32 V4 are entitled to a free upgrade to version 5 which our engineers can perform at your request.

Logmein and Eset NOD32 – CTRL ALT DELETE
There is one known issue with the current build of NOD32 V5 and the remote support software Logmein.   This bug means that the CTRL ALT DEL command cannot be sent by the remote support engineer to your system, however the fix is currently as simple as disabling the Self-Defence system (but not HIPS itself).

NTES came back this morning to a flooded office.   Don’t worry, you probably wouldn’t have noticed as our downtime was about 15 Minutes thanks to the fact of our backup servers and voip platform from G7eleven!

Anyway, 2011 is here!  We are all going into this year on a positive note (even though we had to uplift the entire office today to another space in the same complex).

We have a sale on Sonos equipment for those interested, just call our offices for discount.   This will last until the end of January.  This is outside of the special Christmas and New Year offer that is taking place right now.

We also will be having a GFI sale for NEW business in this first quarter, so keep an eye on the site for more information over the coming weeks.

No longer is the Apple Mac machine safe from Antivirus infection (it never really was, it has just simply become a much more popular operating system lately).

As one of Ireland’s top Eset Partners, we are pleased to see that Eset have released a Mac version of their popular NOD32 Antivirus product.   More information can be found here.

NTES have today released our new website.   We hope that you find the new site far more informative and helpful.

We have tried to ensure that the question of “what does NTES do?” and think that the new site gets this across in an easy to understand manner.   Tell us if we have improvements to be made, we welcome the feedback.

Microsoft have released a critical, out of band, update to patch a publicly disclosed flaw in ASP.NET
