With its key location in Dublin 4, Grand Canal Hotel offers it Guests an ideal location to enjoy the many attractions on its doorstep including The Aviva Stadium, R.D.S., Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, and Merion Square. The hotel offers the recently refurbished Epic Restaurant, the ever popular Gasworks Bar and the Canal Express as dining experiences to suit all needs, all day.  NTES were able to offer this 142 room hotel a fresh approach to their IT network and changing needs.

 

Our Involvement:

Our first task was to take over IT Support at the hotel. All colleagues there can contact our desk support team with their IT related issues, great and small and get immediate response. With a stable network we began the process of recommending and building a new server configuration. This project was delivered through planning with the PMS and POS provider. We installed a new UPS and our customary back-up and disaster recovery infrastructure. We completed this project over a weekend with two senior engineers onsite at a time convenient to Hotel Management. Our next step was to complete the email migration to Office 365. This was achieved with the minimum of fuss using a cutover migration. We are delighted to be chosen by the Grand Canal Hotel to be their IT Provider and Consultants.
